Description
Summary:<div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p><span>Through the years, the works of the “gardeners” are hardly recognizable in a garden; just few traces remain from their experiments and choices, though reasonable and seldom occasional. Thus, whenever they collaborated to the maintenance of important plant collections or they founded a solid enterprise thanks to their experience, we can find publications and catalogues about their activities that illustrates the gardening trends typical of a certain age. This paper briefly illustrates the work of some members of Italian horticultural families, such as the Mercatellis, and presents two list of the beginning of the 20th century, the former about roses and the latter about palms. </span></p></div></div></div>
