The data were collected using 'Nurse Introductory Information Form', 'Emotional Labor Behavior Scale of Nurses' and 'SCL-90-R Psychological Symptom Check Scale' created by the researcher in accordance with the literature. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation test were used for analyzing data. RESULTS: It was found that 90.6% of the nurses participating in the study consisted of women, 78.9% of them had bachelor's degree, 77.2% of them were working in shifts, 31.6% of them were working at intensive care units. It was found that 50.9% of the nurses were satisfied with nursing and 76% of them were satisfied with the social relations in the institution where they worked. In the research study, it was determined that there was no significant relationship between emotional labor behavior and psychological symptoms in nurses (p>.05). According to gender, educational status, status of being satisfied with occupation and social relations, there was a significant difference among the mean scores of the subdimension scores of emotional labor behavior scale in nurses (p<.05). A significant difference was found between GSI score averages according to task unit and occupational satisfaction (p<.05). DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: It was concluded that there is no significant relationship between emotional labor behavior and psychological symptoms in nurses.
