description | This paper presents the cooperation between the ISM Corum, an NGO, and Adecco, a company. ISM Corum specialises in training, research, consulting and project management in the field of discrimination and how to deal with it. It offers sociological, statistical and legal expertise to institutions, companies and trade unions and promotes action research projects that may lead to joint workplace agreements. This is what happened with Adecco. On the basis of the training, expertise and mediation provided by ISM Corum, representatives of management and trade unions negotiated, wrote together and unanimously signed a framework agreement against all discriminations within the company in 2007. This sort of framework agreement, which provides for the negotiation of a series of agreements over each factor of discrimination, is now being replicated throughout the industry. |
