This Regulation facilitates enhanced cooperation between Member States on the establishment of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, whose aims are to achieve a more effective fight combating the perpetrators or suspects of crimes against the Community's financial interests. However, the implementation of this Office will require some legislative developments in Member States such as Spain, where the Public Prosecutor has not been assigned the same powers the Regulation entrusts it with.
