Summary: | The present article presents some of the most important works that Mexican historians have produced from the late 20th century to the present. The main idea is to compare them, to distinguish the different ways in which they have developed, and to analyze the history and the images. It also attempts to determine if Mexican historians have been able to propose new ways of observing images or to theorize or conceptualize ideas or methods in a different way. Or have they just imitated or developed the European or American methods? This work attempts to analyze these ideas from the perspective of Social History and Cultural History and also from the aesthetical point of view, in order to propose a more complete and complex way of working with photographs according to the Mexican historiographical texts. |
