| Summary: | This paper aims to present on the way of life of peasants and how public
policies are exercising their functions in the organization of peasant production
in the Riozinho Settlement, under the economic and social aspects. The
research analyzes the mechanisms of the project implemented in the Riozinho
Settlement by the INCRA, in order to understand the processes that are
occurring on the part of the public policies, however, these factors with regard to
the agrarian reform that is established in the field differ from the way of The
problem of environmental management of projects. Fieldwork, interviews with
residents, observations and bibliographical readings were carried out. The project developed by the government's operational actions in which it shows the
lack of continuity of infrastructure on the roads, which results in difficulty in
transporting to transport the production of peasants and especially in relation to
basic sanitation. The agrarian reform policy must recognize the projects
implemented in the settlement and especially in the re-registration of land titles.
Most of the families living in the settlement do not have the definitive land title.
