Summary:This document uses particle swarm optimization (PSO) for determining the parameters of induction motor. The error between the measured actual stator current output of an induction motor and its model is used as the criteria to correct the required parameters. Digital simulations no-load operations are used to identify the parameters. A comparison of two variants of the PSO algorithm (local PSO and global PSO) is used to verify the efficiency of each one and computational time is determined.Finally, the parameter identification sheme shown is implemented.
