Description
Summary:There is a methodological and axiological argument in the community studies. Sociology describes and explains social behaviours. On the other hand, pedagogy aspires to form congruent attitudes. The first one answers a question – how it is, the other – how it should be. In the upbringing issue the argument is getting even stronger. Coapting of sociology and pedagogy does not have to cause privation or fading away the identity of both disciplines. On the contrary, it can improve their crystallization. Comparative and analytic method in reference to classic and contemporary thought develops a complementary interpretative base, due to which in some cases a sociologic thought can change actual human attitudes into desirable ones. Using sociological imagination opened for pedagogical content makes a good research instrument. This perspective not only inspires to a new reflection, but also develops social life practice including upbringing process most of all.
