Microglia roles in healthy Central Nervous System-CNS- (Microglia: ruolo nel Sistema Nervoso Centrale -SNC- integro)
Other than the already known functions on the damaged CNS, data are reported in a recent review, showing that microglial cells have crucial roles on the healthy CNS activity, contributing to its development, neuronal connectivity organization and synaptic plasticity regulation.
