Description
Summary:There is an error in the above article <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref1">[1]</xref> when the components of the second order magnetostriction strain tensor <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">${ { {\boldsymbol {\epsilon }}^{\mu (2)}_{\alpha }}}$ </tex-math></inline-formula> are introduced in Section II-B, just before equation (14). It is stated that, in the case of a uniaxial stress tensor applied parallel to the magnetic field (direction 1), the only non-null component of <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">${ { {\boldsymbol {\epsilon }}^{\mu (2)}_{\alpha }}}\vphantom {{ { { {\boldsymbol {\epsilon }}^{\mu (2)}_{\alpha }}}}^{k}}$ </tex-math></inline-formula> is <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">${ {\epsilon ^{\mu (2)}_{\alpha _{11}}}}$ </tex-math></inline-formula>. Although the expression given for <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">${ {\epsilon ^{\mu (2)}_{\alpha _{11}}}}$ </tex-math></inline-formula> by (14) in <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref1">[1]</xref> is correct, the 11 component is not the only non-null component of <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">${ { {\boldsymbol {\epsilon }}^{\mu (2)}_{\alpha }}}$ </tex-math></inline-formula>. The general expression of <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">${ { {\boldsymbol {\epsilon }}^{\mu (2)}_{\alpha }}}\vphantom {{ { { {\boldsymbol {\epsilon }}^{\mu (2)}_{\alpha }}}}^{k}}$ </tex-math></inline-formula> is given by <xref rid="deqn1" ref-type="disp-formula">equation (1)</xref> below:
