Power has always needed information to maintain its power. The size of the information needed in the historical process has increased continuously. Michel Foucault states that knowledge is produced as a result of these relations by focusing on power relations. According to Foucault, power produces truth through discourse. It adopts the truth produced through various ways to bodies. Foucault states that power is everywhere. Universities, which are the center of the field of knowledge, and the social sciences operating within the universities are directly open to the effects of power. Therefore, it is possible to evaluate universities and social sciences with the power and knowledge approach of Foucault. The aim of this study is to analyze the social sciences and universities with the knowledge and power approaches of Foucault.
