description In the study, a database was developed for traffic accident records of Isparta-Antalya national road between 1996 and 1999 using MS Excel software. Since Geographic Information Systems (GIS) requires spatial coordinates, GPS measurements were carried out on each traffic accident site. A relation was then developed between spatial coordinates and database using ArcView software. After query it was seen that traffic accidents often occurred in the tangent sections of roads and daytime and clear weather conditions. Apart from this, it was seen that fatality accidents became heavily dense around Antalya border.
