description The paper briefly presents and compares the Serbian regulations for imposed loads for buildings from 1948 until today. Emphasized are the novelties brought on this subject by Eurocode 1 whose application became obligatory with the adoption of the new Rulebook for building structures. Compared to the previous regulations, Eurocode 1 gives a more precise classification of areas in buildings according to their use, but also generally higher imposed loads intensities than the previous SRPS U.C7.121 and SRPS U.C7.122.
