Summary: | A pulmonary atelectasis consists of pulmonary collapse, accompanied by hypoventilation, which
generally affects one of the pulmonary lobes and compromises perfusion, affecting metabolic changes in the client's
life. Objective: to report an academic experience in the development of the Nursing Process (NP), no care context of
Atelectasis due to Pulmonary Emphysema. Methodology: it deals with research on the type of experience with a
qualitative approach. Based on the theoretical framework of Callista Roy (1970). Developed in a timely manner from
an activity carried out extracurricular and supervised by the discipline Basic and Advanced Support I - at CESMAC
do Sertão, in October 2018. The field of study was the user's home. The instrument used was given through
anamnesis, physical examination, survey of nursing diagnoses, set of expected results and preparation of nursing
analyzes. Results and Discussion: With effectuation of the NP, through the International Classifications for Nursing
Practices - CIPE®. This classification follows the ISO 18.104: 2003 standard, six Nursing Problems were identified:
pain, in the costal margin; fever, chronic; risk of infection, by gastrostomy; risk of impaired respiratory system
function; sadness, chronic; family coping, preceded. Based on six Expected Results, executed as Nursing Prescriptions
with twenty-eight Nursing Interventions. Final Considerations: Pulmonary atelectasis is a serious, common
complication that can affect the general population, regardless of race, sex, age and / or biotype, there are some
factors of aggression and others pre-selected, which have risk mortality rates imminent death, requiring immediate
intervention. With the effectiveness of the Nursing Process, a path was built for hemodynamic optimization and an
adequate standard of quality of life for the client
