Description
Summary:The objective of this research was to design a Clinical Practice Guide (CPG) to intervene in crisis. This guide is directed to the relatives of a patient in an Intensive Care Unit. This guide was designed through expert reading. It allowed for the validation -with evidence criteria- of the level of the topic pertinence. Besides, it made it easier the decision-making under scientific criteria. Then,CPGs on family intervention in crisis were reviewed. The results of the selection and evaluation of the CPGs were analyzed through the indicators proposed by the AGREE. Finally, a CPG was proposed taking into account aspects such as: the crisis intervention model- validated by the theory of Rubin and Bloch (1998), and Slaikiu (1996)-; the hospital psychology model for family attention in adapting to a relative health situation; and the content aspects of the AGREE (2003).
