description The economic crisis affecting Spain since 2008 raises several questions in society on the political class and possible ways of finding solutions for that. These reflections arises the questions about current Spanish political regime and revision of history. Feminists try to retrieve a gender perspective that allows incorporating women in the hegemonic system without thereby neutralize their stance. Amor de tango of María Xosé Queizán is one of the possible answers to this question. His way of dealing with the Civil War in Galicia and the repression of women in this region is rather an attempt of humanizing his historiographical discourse than demasculinization.
