Summary:The aims of this study are to describe: 1). Describing how women manage a leadership role in terms of competence and personality. 2). Describing differences between women and men leadership role according to the assistants. This study uses interview, Focus Grouping Discus (FGD), and observation. Two agencies used as a data collection with a total of eleven person subjects. Data processing results of both these institutions are complementary to obtain the following results: Personality required women leaders specifically: must have also masculine (confident, assertive, and bold decision-making) and the support of family, especially her husband. In addition, other capabilities that support are management of time because they have a double role, which both run concurrently so that synergy is essential. Normally assistant no longer debating the gender of a leader, more important is the competence and personality. However, if analyzed more deeply, then there are three fundamental differences obtained from the analysis of this study, namely: a). Related to performance: b). Related to empathy.
