Description
Summary:The study aims to extend and further the current literature related to the inclusion of Islamic finance in the international strategies that have been established against poverty. The study shows that despite the fact that poverty is a worldwide problem, it affects more and more the feminine gender. Besides a number of measures and strategies that might be used to alleviate and fight against poverty, like the steps taken by the World Bank, United Unions, USAID, charities and ONGs; Islamic economic and financial system should be taken into consideration and be increasingly used in poverty alleviation policies and strategies, especially in the Muslim countries.
