knowledge of the subject and be positive about the idea of restitutional justice.
Therefore, the main purpose the research was to collect the opinions of professional penitentiary educators on court mediation – in criminal cases, family cases and after the verdict. The research was conducted using a method of
a diagnostic survey. The research tool was the author’s questionnaire. The study
group consisted of 50 educators. Exploratory research shows that most educators have basic information about mediation and following this knowledge,
they are not convinced of the benefits of its use in a penitentiary institution. |
