Comparison of linear optics measurement and correction methods at the Swiss Light Source

A systematic analysis of linear optics optimization using various independent methods has been performed. Three independent techniques, namely quadrupole variation, linear optics from closed orbits, and turn-by-turn measurement, have been studied at the Swiss Light Source. Furthermore, the performan...

description A systematic analysis of linear optics optimization using various independent methods has been performed. Three independent techniques, namely quadrupole variation, linear optics from closed orbits, and turn-by-turn measurement, have been studied at the Swiss Light Source. Furthermore, the performances are compared from various aspects including a direct comparison of the corrected optics. The limitations of the three independent methods are also presented.
