Description
Summary:The population of European roe deer (Capreolus capreolus, Linnaeus), in comparison with other ungulate populations, has a fairly high ecological alent and has a good reproductive potential. Currently, an increase in the number and density of individuals of this species is observed on the territory of the Belgorod region. According to the results of the analysis of static indicators of the population, the progressive nature of the dynamic indicators of the roe deer population has been established. The main regulator of the roe deer population in the conditions of the Belgorod region is the anthropogenic factor in the form of sport hunting.
