description Comparing to the former real estate public records in Serbia, the uniform land registry system was conceived and enforced in the way that the cadastre of real estates, along with its traditional function, acquires those functions that traditionally belonged to land books. The Law on Land Survey and Cadastre of 2009 introduces some changes into composition of cadastre with obvious intention to overcome the previous concept of the cadastre of real estates, which mechanically combined land books and cadastre of real estates. Cadastre consists of a report of survey, a document collection and a database of cadastre. All-inclusive database could be very useful, but also could endanger indispensable simplicity and easy examination expecting from registry of real estate. On the other hand, easy examination and precision of the content of a land registry file has been developed to the possible perfection, which is by itself can provide legal security.
