description The paper introduced composition, working principle, function and key technologies of 3D personnel positioning and information management system in coal mine underground.The system adopts technolgies of radio frequency identification, ZigBee and 3D to real-timely recognize and track underground personnel, and carry on data collection and transmission through computer network. It can also simulate virtual reality of mine personnel checking, distribution state and movement track, which can provide reliable position information for mine personnel's rescue after taking place accident to improve efficiency of rescue and relief work.
