Summary:The ball pin of the steering assembly fractured during using for a special type heavy-duty truck.After inspection,the motion interference problem may exist.Considering the complexity of the space motion of steering system,the global coordinate system and several local coordinate systems and the relationship between them through the transformation matrix are established.The swing angle of the ball head pin is solved to check whether it is beyond the range of design angle.Eventually,find out the the movement interference problems is exist in the ball head pin.A basic theory for its structural improvement of the vehicle is provided.
