description The article is devoted to the analysis of an original semantic-semiotic notion that is defined by the author as the Russian text. The defined notion makes it possible to consider the texts printed on pages of the largest emigrant «thick» journal «Sovremennye zapiski», as some kind of textual integrity. The Russian text unites the majority of the emigrant texts that differ seriously. This approach to the texts of the journal helps to reveal in the first place a sociological code of the notion under study. The Hermeneutical procedure allows to specify its most important topical complexes. It is determined that the «primary unit», which most efficiently provides transdimensional textual space in the journal editions, is the symbol, and it urges activity on generating meanings in the literary texts in «Sovremennye zapiski» by correlation with the meanings of the texts of other discourses. The symbol opens possibility for creating dialogs between the texts of various discourses, thus it provides semantic definiteness of literary discourse of the journal. Its potential semantics uncovers the mechanisms of the Russian text existence in the literary discourse of the published editions. It is concluded that the symbols, while ensuring the semantic unity of the texts in «Sovremennye zapiski» symbols are joined to make an integrated conceptual system, that is called the myth.
