This abstract provides an overview of the extensive research conducted on resveratrol and quercetin as antioxidants in animal models, highlighting their mechanisms of action and therapeutic potential. Animal models, such as rodents, have been instrumental in elucidating the oxidative stress pathway and evaluating the efficacy of various antioxidants. Resveratrol and quercetin have demonstrated significant antioxidant effects in animal models through multiple mechanisms. These include direct scavenging of reactive oxygen species (ROS), upregulation of endogenous antioxidant enzymes, inhibition of lipid peroxidation, and modulation of oxidative stress-related signaling pathways.
