description This article focuses on the introduction of an e-health platform in a cardiovascular clinical trial. We study it through the lens of coordination among actors collaborating on this project designed for self-follow-up of patients’ quality of life. Our goal is to account for the challenges of a technological innovation in health, that stems from the tension between two types of issues in the partnership: issues regarding data validation according to the standards of biomedical research, and issues regarding personalization of patients’ follow-up in order to capture various profiles. We highlight that the minimal inter-comprehension at work since the partnership’s inception conceals some problems that ultimately led to the project’s demise.
