Summary: | Literary production implies a reading practice. From this point, it is possible to historicize the general act of reading, but also the more restricted process of selection, and analysis of readings that a literature makes as a basis or engine of its own production. In cases like Argentinean literature, such a history entails the importation of a significant volume of foreign texts, and its translation, that as a whole compose the transnational canon that feeds them. This paper aims to focus on one chapter of this history: the constant foreign poetry importation in poesía buenos aires magazine during the fifties. The multiplicity of nationalities and translated languages is so wide there, that the review displays a literary field that erase nationality to create a new geography with other borders: those of a genuine brotherhood of a deterritorialized avant-garde homeland.
