Summary: | Introduction. Painting is one of the leading special disciplines. The genre of landscape image serves as an excellent platform for experiments in painting. The process of plein air work enables students to acquire a great number of professional skills in mastering the pictorial image.
Getting outdoors, admiring it definitely fills the painting with warmth of heart and charm that carried over into the practice of images of still life, portraiture, as well as in the construction of complex compositions, including the painting in the conditions of the classrooms. The transformations taking place in the system of artistic and pedagogical education lead to a reduction of hours devoted to open-air work, minimizing contact of the student with the teacher. In this regard, the importance of independent work of students increases.
Purpose: to raise the problem of reducing the quality of education while reducing the contact work of students with the teacher in the process of plein air practice. To outline ways to preserve the effectiveness of education, to emphasize the importance of landscape genre in the system of professional art and pedagogical education.
Materials and methods. Аnalysis of educational-methodical and special literature on the problem of plein air painting, analysis of state educational standards, curricula and programs, generalization of pedagogical experience of teaching plein air painting, comparative statistical analysis of artistic, educational-creative and pedagogical activity of students.
Results, discussion. These recommendations for plein air work will allow more efficient and rational organization of these classes, more thoughtful and conscious approach to their implementation, which stimulates independent work of students and allows to achieve better results in the performance of plein air tasks.
Conclusion. The problem of conducting classes in the open air has not been sufficiently developed yet and still requires significant adjustments due to the changes in the education system.
