description Sustainable green spaces in the cities are not possible without the selection of appropriate and resilient plants to environmental conditions. The aim of this study is to provide a method for helping to the experts in the field of urban green spaces protection in order to the determination of resilient plants species in the specific environmental conditions of regions. This research attempts to quantitatively characterize the qualitative parameters of plant species characteristics for their comparative evaluation of ecological resilience criteria. Hence, the indices and sub-components of plants vitality (adaptation to soil, water, climate, urban pollution and ecological conditions) were determined based on library and documentary studies. Subsequently, the dominant and suitable plant species for the urban environment of Zahedan were determined based on various studies and expert opinions. In this research, the hierarchical analysis process (AHP) was used to obtain the weight of each of the indices and sub-components of plants resilience and as well the TOPSIS model was used to evaluate the resilience of indigenous and proposed shrubs and tree plants in relation to indices and components of resilience from the perspective of 15 experts in the field of green space and urban gardening in Zahedan. The findings of the research show the most important factors from the experts' point of view that could influence the resilience of plants in Zahedan urban green spaces were priority to the water index (365/0), soil (0.276), climate (0.179), Ecological conditions (0.89) and urban pollution (0.622). Also, the resistance of plants to water shortages with a score of 0.169, the resistance of plants to soil salinity with a score of 0.118, the resistance of plants to evapotranspiration conditions with a score of 0.087, the resistance of plants to undesirable environmental situation with a score of 0.07, And resistance to water pollution with a score of 0.022, respectively, are the most important component of the vitality of plants in the pattern of cultivation of green spaces in Zahedan. Finally, the ranking of indigenous and recommended vegetation species was used for use in Zahedan urban green space.
