Description
Summary:The pattern of changes of cellular and humoral immunity werestudied in 41 patients with acute ischemic stroke with assessmenton 1st3rd, 7th, 21st days. Control group included 31 patientswith arterial hypertension. At 1st3rd days of stroke lymphopenia-deficient CD3+, CD4+ and CD8+ cells was detected, in33% of patients the reduction of IgG was found. On Day 7 andDay 21 some positive changes were noted, however, in large proportionof patients symptoms of immunodeficiency with reductionin the number of CD8+ and RI index remained. These findingssuggest that the immune status of patients in acute stroke isconsistent with response on acute stress. The mechanisms ofimmune system involvement in pathogenesis of acute stroke arediscussed.
