Summary: | The main objectives of this study were 1) to study the opinion of students in the smart classroom 2) to study satisfaction with active learning teaching 3) to study ways to improve the smart classroom of Suranaree University of Technology. The population in this research was divided into 2 groups.The first group was students who used smart classrooms.The data were collected from checklist questionnaires. The sample was 191 students. The second group was teachers who used the same smart classrooms as the students. They were selected from 6 schools in the university.The data were obtained through the in-depth interview with an opinion questionnaire. For analysis, the opinions of teachers were ordered and categorized by using content analysis. The results of the research are as follows: 1. The results of opinion in the smart classroom showed that regular attendance had the greatest impact on learning behavior in the Active Learning classroom, followed by better learning attitudes, and can work together as a group with others, respectively. 2. The results of the study on the satisfaction of the Active Learning teaching showed that wanting to teach in other subjects provided the most satisfaction, followed by encouraging students toparticipateintheir learning,ableto work with others, and create a good environment for teaching and learning, respectively. 3. Guidelines were prepared for the development and improvement of the smart classroom, including improving the wireless Internet system to be stable to support the number of applications. It is important to provide various audio-visual equipment, such as microphones, power outlets, whiteboard pens, and mobile whiteboards, display screens, locker cabinets to store teaching equipment, including to installing glass boards around the room instead of the writable wall, because it's easier to write and erase. Improving the table to be easily folded and organized into a circle, strong and be wide enough to conveniently place the school supplies was important. There needs to be appropriate budget allocation to purchase accessories for teaching and learning. Active Learning also needs to improve the room to make it soundproof, well lit and have a bright tone, and to always maintain the classroom cleanliness. If there are improvements and increases in smart classrooms in the future, there should be a variety of approaches to meet the needs of different applications. Finally, policymakers should ask for opinions and suggestions first.
