Bioproduction of usnic acid from acetate by kaolinite immobilized cells of Cladonia substellata Vain.
Cells of the lichen Cladonia substellata, immobilized in kaolinite and supplied with acetate, produce at room temperature large amounts of usnic acid which can be recovered from the washing solution.
