description The definition of a questionale about school choices requires a careful evaluation of the possible relationships between attitudes and behaviour, i.e. between an individual’s attitudes towards education and the school career really undertaken. This involves to consider the classical rational decision-making approach and its many attempts of refinement. The paper suggests that a number of aspects play a crucial role in the decisionmaking process. In particular, it discusses the implications of some psychological attitudes such as risk willingness, wishful thinking, delusion, frustration, obligation.
