Description
Summary:Road transport causes emission of 1/5 of the carbon dioxide produced in the European Union. Actions aimed at reduction of emission of CO2of various vehicles are becoming an increasingly important issue. In this article, the authors present an innovative technology of use of a high-performance alternator in passenger vehicles. They proposed a method of calculating reduction of CO2through application of ahigh-performance alternator. Moreover, application of new technology based on the measurements performedin accordance with the guidelines of the New European Driving Cycle allowed calculation offuel savings and reduction of CO2 emission in road transport.
