Description
Summary:Cosmetic medicine is becoming increasingly important in the doctor's daily practice, ranging from plastic surgery to areas such as neurology. Therefore, it is important to attempt to understand its concept and limits. If we define cosmetic medicine as "a set of actions performed by a physician with the purpose of improving patient appearance or some other aspect which, although not outside the normal, is expected to be enhanced by request", we should analyze whether these actions fall within the scope of what we currently consider medical practice. We must also consider if such actions are futile or not, and if they are aligned with what we know as modern medicine.
