Summary:This article deals with the practice of rape as a war weapon in the counter-insurgent policy in Guatemala, its relation with racism and obvious discrimination in this country that lived a period of active military operations for 36 years, reaching the fiercest repression level between 1980 and 1983. Peace was signed in December 1996. This paper specifically presents the Guatemalan group “Actoras de Cambio” (Agents of change) who proposes to integrate “healing” as a restorative mechanism for rape survivors in the post-war context.
