| Summary: | Ahmad ibn Yaḥya al-Balādhurī( 810 /820-892 AD) is one of the most influential historians, genealogist and great geographers of the Islamic world and the author of the book" Futūḥ al-buldān", which is considered one of the most important historical sources of conquest (Futūḥ) and a reference for many historians. He was the agent of "Diwan Kharaj" in the court of the Abbasid caliphs for a long time. Considering the importance and role of al-Balādhurī's reports in representing the conquest and victory (Futūḥ) of the Muslims, the purpose of this article is to examine and criticize his method in writing the history of the conquest using Ibn Khaldun's historiographical method and principles. Among his numerous news and reports, al-Balādhurī's narration about the conquest (Futūḥ) of of Transoxiana (Mawra al-Nahr) by Qutayba ibn Muslim al-Bahili has different dimensions.Therefore, the main question of this research is: What are the components of the historiography of al-Balādhurī about the conquest of Qutaiba bin Muslim in Transoxiana (Mawar al-Nahr) according to the criteria of Ibn Khaldun's methodical historiography? The historical investigations of the descriptive-analytical approach in the book "Futūḥ al-buldān " showed that the narratives of al-Balādhurī about the news of the Futuh do not have sufficient accuracy in recording the events and his reports about the conquest in the Transoxiana (Mawar al-Nahr) can be criticized |
