Summary:Urogenital infections (UGI) remain one of the urgent problems of obstetrics and gynecology. In the period of gestation, the UGI may cause such complications as chorioamnionitis, intrauterine growth retardation and intrauterine and intrapartum infection of the fetus, spontaneous abortions, premature birth, purulent-septic complications in the postpartum period. According to the literature, UGI in pregnant women have a high prevalence and often occur in a latent form, complicating timely diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
