Summary: | This work is intended to analyze and eventually assess the meaning of some theories of proportion, often posed from false premises of objectivity and scientific certainty. We seek to make evident the symbolic character of an important part of these systems. In this framework we weigh the assessment of metaphorical or poetic aspects. To that end, clichés and abuses of the theories obsessed in the definition of mathematical formulas that too often try to roughly certify themselves in all kind of examples are questioned. From these keys some aspects of Le Corbusier's Modulor are interpreted. |
