description With the widespread application of low-altitude targets, it is absolutely necessary to monitor and control their use. The effective detection of targets is the basis for such control, and existing detection methods are still inadequate for large-scale surveillance and small-scale key control of low-altitude targets. In this paper, a network detection method based on a distributed sensor architecture is proposed. The system architecture of this paper focuses on reducing the complexity of receiving stations and attempts to build a sensor system with a simplistic, feasible design to realize large-scale distributed network deployment. This paper first presents a distributed network detection architecture model and elaborates upon the system architecture design method. To perform target track management in the detection process, this study provides a target track management method based on localization and correlation quality, and specifically discusses the management of the target range-only and three-dimensional tracks. For problems related to multi-sensor multi-target track association in this study, a multistatic range-only track association algorithm based on target characteristic clustering is proposed; this approach can significantly reduce the requisite computational power compared to the traditional multi-sensor multi-target track association process. Through the simulation analysis of a typical multi-target detection scenario, the results demonstrate that the proposed detection method is robust, exhibits good tracking accuracy, and can effectively respond to the detection scenarios of low-altitude targets.
