and physiological functions of cardiovascular, digestive, excretory, and nervous systems with human ones. In the Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS the specialized laboratory mini- and micro-pigs adapted for using under our conditions were created. In 2010 several hundreds of studies
on mini-pigs were conducted in Russian Federation and abroad. The present review highlights some experimental works that could be applied for wide use in medicine. |
