| description | The paper deals with the process of monitoring settlements of the Ljubljana Marshland and the results of the last measurements in the area of the Rudnik Industrial Zone, especially in the area of Ilovica, which has lately been subjected to intensive building development. The Ljubljana Marshland, actually no longer a marshland, is the area foreseen for the expansion of Ljubljana, but on the other hand it should be preserved intact and should be of natural protection value. It comprises about 163 km2. The paper presents only part of the results that to a large extent complete the knowledge on settlements in the eastern part of the Ljubljana Marshland. With increasing building development activities in this area the consequences of lack of knowledge regarding the settlements of this area and disrespect of these phenomena were evident in extremely short period of time. |
