| Summary: | The article proposes to identify aspects related to the perception of well-being of outsourced cleaning service workers at the Federal University of Viçosa, assuming that the outsourcing process can lead to precariousness and suffering at work. This is a quantitative study with a descriptive-exploratory nature. The data collection instrument was a structured questionnaire. The results showed six items that presented positive indices in relation to the perception of well-being at work and two indices presented negative levels. It is considered that this result is associated with a sense of survival for this group, as unemployment means an even greater difficulty in supporting the family and informal work is the most present reality and, in this way, suffering is masked.
