Summary:The article examines the modern process of organizing the work of the leadership apparatus and intermediaries in the preparation and conduct of command and staff exercises using modern tools for automation and simulation of combat operations, provides a complete list of documents that are worked out by the leadership staff differences in the planning staff. The peculiarity of the work of the headquarters of the management during the planning of the exercises and the peculiarities in the structure of the management apparatus and intermediaries for carrying out such training are determined. Theoretical provisions and practical recommendations on the implementation and improvement of training of the military management bodies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are considered. The main tasks of the group of application of tools of automation of control of troops and group of imitation modeling of fighting are outlined. The necessity to involve representatives of other military formations that are part of the defense forces in order to work out measures aimed at achieving cooperation aimed at acquiring individual capabilities to perform joint tasks was determined. Recommendations on practical issues of preparation of the leadership apparatus for command and staff training using the JCATS automation and simulation of combat operations, as well as the Slavutich military automated control system are offered.
