| Summary: | Purpose of the study – to conduct the analysis of current data on the effect of insulin resistance on the violation of women reproductive function.
Methodology of the study. In the literature review, the following databases were used: Elibrary.ru, Cochrane, Medline, PubMed, HINARY. The words for search were: «insulin resistance, polycystic ovary syndrome, infertility».
Results and its discussion. 329 publications (1977-2016) were found out. 138 publications corresponded to the search criteria from 2000 to 2016 years. The study analyzed the data on the effect of insulin resistance on the violation of the reproductive function of women. Anovulation and hyperandrogenism, the cause of which is insulin resistance, are the main definitions of the polycystic ovary syndrome.
Conclusion. The review presents a modern point of view on the diagnosis and treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome at the stage of correction of metabolic disorders, regulation of the cycle and infertility treatment, which is important for proper understanding of clinical problems. |
