Description
Summary:In this article, the author would like to raise the attention on some structural problems at the bottom of past and present approaches within lithic studies, specifically the classificatory enterprises, thus contributing to the theoretical discussions around it. As a stepping stone towards the future resolution of these issues embedded in the current typological classification methods and in the technological approach, a proposal is made that from one side suggests uniforming and regularising the formal representation of lithic analyses in a more systematic and less erratic way and from the other side praises a more inclusive approach and better integration of typological analysis within current lithic studies.
