| Summary: | As a duty of the State, Public Security is exercised in such a way as to preserve public order, the safety of persons and property, attribution, intended for the country’s police. It is notorious that police attributions are limited in their missions to preserve public order according to the Brazilian Federal Constitution, however, these are required to their extreme in fighting crime, especially the Military Police. Forgetting that, the issue is not simple because complex factors are directly linked to the results of police work, judging the lack of investments, human resources management and the valorization of the image of the police with the population as a whole. With high rates of homicide, Brazil lives a gloomy reality, as these rates grow every year. Meanwhile, police face social rejection accused of police violence, motivated by the lethality of delinquents in clashes, forgetting this society that police officers are also victims in these confrontations.
