Description
Summary:5821 specimens of tench were tagged in 1971-1972. The fishes were caught in shallow lakes of fairly high tench yields, and released to shallow parts of the complex of Grrat Mazurian Lakes. 25.7% of the tench tagged in 1971 were caught in 1971-1974, and 17% of the tench tagged in 1972 were caught in 1973-1974. Analysis was made of tench migrations in the lake complex. Annual length increments were determined and the relationship between growth rate and body length. An attempt was made to determine the effectiveness of tench transplantations.
