Summary: | Promoting the effective separation of photo-generated charge carriers is vitally crucial to enhancing the photocatalytic performance. The piezo-phototronic effect, which could regulate the directional migration of photogenerated carriers, has been regarded as an effective strategy of separating carriers. Herein, the NaNbO3@ZIF-8 which possesses efficient carrier separation property is prepared to achieve significant increase of H2 evolution rate (1.16 mmol g−1 h−1) under the coupling effects of ultrasonic vibration and light irradiation, which is 1.9 times than that of NaNbO3. This work provides a strategy for studying the promotion of carrier separation and promoting photocatalytic performance under an external field.
